I'm selling the ego and I'm getting the money through a paypal e-check and I was just wondering if there is any way money through paypal can go wrong? It seems like I've heard of a scam involving paypal in which three days after payment, it backfires somehow and the money is taken back. By then, the item would already be in the mail.

An e-check is coming from their checking account and it might take 3-5 days depending. You should definitely make it clear to them that you will not ship the ego until the money has cleared and is in your possession. Golden rule: Never ship anything until the money has cleared.

Make sure the money is in your account before you ship.

So.... basicly, if the money is in my paypal account and cleared, I'm golden?

I don't see how it could be taken back after that. If you could transfer it to your checking account, you should be alright.

I don't have a bank account linked to paypal at the moment. That is the biggest problem...

Yeah, I think so. Especially since they have to process it anyway so, I think once it clears, I'll be fine.
